Searchrev (AKQA) (02/2006 – 02/2007)

While at SearchRev I worked with many Yahoo! teams. I managed the relationship with Yahoo! and the strategy and implementation of multiple SEM campaigns. Yahoo! business units I was in charge include: Yahoo! Mobile, Yahoo! home page, Yahoo! Local, Yahoo! Current TV and collaborated with other initiatives such as Yahoo! Shopping, Yahoo! Sports and others.

Also managed Astrology.com (Part of iVillage.com) and highly transactional accounts such as eLoan and Motosport. Collaborated with the management of Zazzle, Cafepress and Shutterfly accounts.

Sun Microsystems (2002 – 02/2006)

Held several positions at Sun. Started as an intern in the Technical marketing division of x86 servers and progressed to a full time position as Global Marketing manager for Storage.

I produced the first business podcast for Sun Microsystems from the ground up a few years ago when podcasting was something new. We had 6,000 downloads in less than two months.

I managed global marketing campaigns with a heavy mix of SEM, SEO, landing page creation and optimization and podcasts (video and audio). As an aside, I had the chance to talk to Jonathan Schwartz about the podcast program. He was very enthusiastic and agreed to be a guest in the podcast.  I loved Sun’s accesibility to people.

While at Sun Microsystems I managed the SEM campaigns for Storage with quite a bit of success by driving not only awareness, knowledge and consideration but also driving more tangible results such as online sales. My team was able to deliver the first online sale related to the SEM program. From there we manage to constantly improve the performance of the campaigns.

Analytics Programs: Ominture, HitBox, Covario (formerly SEMdirector), Google Analytics and tailored versions of in-house analytics packages.
