What have I been up to?

Gosh, I have not been blogging for a while. First of all, let me tell you that it feels great to start again. I feel as if I had been sedated. As a way of excuse, I was upgrading my blog to the latest wordpress version which was a breeze as always (knock on wood).

I have also been very busy with my work at Accenture. For the past 10 months I’ve been leading the SEM optimization for Accenture’s marketing programs. Oh boy, has that kept me busy!

Other than that, I have been spending my off-the-clock time researching, reading and submerging myself in social media. Reading Chris’ blog(congrats on the new gig by the way!), following the adventures of Scobleizer and his long and boring videos :-) , learning with Logic + Emotion and his adventures on Twitter. Those are the ones that come to mind right away, but there are many others like Dave Winer, Guy Kawasaki and the french dude from seesmic that keep it very interesting. It is kinda funny but I feel that if I see these folks on the street I can totally strike a conversation about the latest truemor or adventure they are into due to our twitter connection. I totally qualify as a social media addict!

All of this in an effort to take my mind off search engine mode and keep my creative side active and engaged. On top of that I have been spending time on side projects that include website optimization for retailers such as Mess New York and helping them build a sticky, high impact website on a budget.

Also, I have picked up where I left off on my passion for travel. Adventure travel with a dash of luxury, as I like to call it. My brother, sister and and a team of folks have re-started a joint venture to sell adventure travel to Ecuador and since this is a South American based operation I thought it made sense to find developers that can help me develop theBarefoot Expeditions Website in South America. That’s when I came across Leandro. A great guy doing development in Joomla in Argentina.

On the personal side, I’ve moved to a much more comfortable house and when it rains I don’t have to worry about leaving my laptop on top of the kitchen table. That’s liberating.

This is the first post after finishing up moving my old blog to a different directory.

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and let everyone know that I am here and ready to participate in the conversation, as Jaffewould say.

I will be blogging about technology and travel as those are my two greatest passions. I might take seesmic up as well to integrate video. Most importantly I will try to bring the South American point of view with interviews and commentary with visionaries as I discover them. I will blog in Spanish and English.

The world is global and innovation strikes from all angles, so please tune in and share with me on this discovery adventure.
