The ice cream is not melting

The story of a friend who sees things very different. The ice cream was ready to be eaten. Soft but not melted, easy to scoop, delicious and refreshing. My wife and a friend where commenting on how this ice cream was just so good and at the perfect point to be served – they were very happy about it. Peter – our very smart friend who is an engineer – was rather quiet and my wife said something like – Peter, how’s the ice cream? Peter’s answer was – yeah, your ice cream is good but your fridge sucks. It was so funny to hear such an opposite point of view – we were laughing non-stop! ——— This put me to think about the B2B marketing campaigns that businesses put together. Are they serving good ice cream or is their fridge really falling apart. Does their fridge really suck? The B2B dance is rather an expensive one where after many tries you will get leads and start building relationships by serving nice ice cream. Customers will be happy for a while with a “ready-to-serve” product but eventually they will start questions about why is the ice cream melting so quickly.
