What’s your experience with SEM optimization?

I’ve heard many success stories of 400% ROAS for SEM campaigns and I’ve heard many others that are barely performing in terms of conversion at all. I think SEM depends highly on having a viable business model to support it.

Meaning that if your business can make money (however you measure it) as a stand alone business then SEM could do wonders for your volume. If you don’t have a viable business model then don’t expect a lot from SEM because the thing that SEM cannot do just yet is to create markets where there is no interest from consumers.
