The advent of the digital age combined with the mass adoption of social media technologies have created the perfect storm for the virtual gathering of the Latino community online.  Latinos and Latinas are becoming more and more influential as the cultural background of community building is second nature to us. This combined with the social tools and networks available, makes it possible for Latinos and Latinas to communicate more efficiently and to share their thoughts, ideas, concerns, successes and failures with the community at large.

Because of the massive growth that our community has experienced online and offline, we thing that it is time for us to be properly represented through a gathering of people that analyses and ponders the role we are playing in shaping American culture in the digital age.
