My kids will not know what a newspaper is.

As some of you know, we are having twins.  When they are of newspaper reading age, newspapers might be a thing of the past. The advent of the internet and information delivery to any devices at any time, anywhere might pretty much make away with the traditional American weekend morning of newspapers and coffee by the time they are ten.

I can cite a couple of reasons off the top of my head.

  • Paper waste. Ten pounds of newspaper only for the weekend edition
  • It does only one thing.
  • Brings you yesterday’s news.
  • Ads, ads and more ads.  Not targeted to my needs.
  • Single POV
  • Expensive
What would they read?  What would be the iPhone of their time?

haha that’s right. i don’t even buy the sunday paper anymore and it used to be a ritual. online media consumption has really eclipsed popularity of the old way. i love it!
